Best Phones of MWC 2012: Nokia 808 Pureview
The PureView camera technology Nokia announced at MWC will feature in future Lumia handsets running Windows Phone, the company has confirmed

Nokia has confirmed that the sensational 41-megapixel, PureView camera technology unveiled at Mobile World Congress will be applied to the company's future Windows Phone-toting handsets.

The Nokia PureView 808 stole the show at MWC in Barcelona last week with its gigantic sensor and hugely impressive sample images, but we couldn't help feel a little underwhelemed that the handset arrived running Symbian Belle and not Windows Phone.
Nokia explained that the technology was ready now and it didn't want to the time necessary for Windows Phone to catch up, hence the launch on the Symbian platform, which is on the outs with the company and losing customers by the day.
However, there's light at the end of the tunnel with a Nokia Senior Vice President confirming we will eventually see 41-megapixel Windows Phones, which could give the OS a significant leg-up on Android and iOS among amateur photographers.
Senior VP of Marketing Jo Harlow told Finnish newspaper Aamulehti that "it will not take long" for the technology to appear in Lumia phones, although she did not specify how long it may take.
